Yesterday we made a type face from DUCT tape, good fun. It
was a challenge so we did some research in the library and then
sketched up some idea, but we pretty much leaped into it. From it
we did however create a good retro feeling font. As Above.
We developed the font to have a little meaning, "this is our
creative boundary" as Sally quoted "you can only go as far as
your creative boundaries let you" and as this ended up quite
...out there? we felt as a team it worked. we started using
black tape but felt that it didn't stand out nearly enough,
we found many people stopping and reading, investigating and
even stepping over our tape!
Today I have tried to neaten my sketchbook and put things in it,
started to do some research about letterpress and the lecturer
we are going to see in holborn. I have loads of things I still
want to research, and with the list I have been given these few days
off will be a good opportunity to do so!
