Tuesday the Second of October
After a nice day of cutting, sticking and learning, I have come home to a cuppa and
some biscuits!
So what better time than to get this Blog up and going!
Today we looked at the work or Rob Bryan, and I was really impressed, I really like
the style of work and his patience! Using just the two colours and paper it's amazing the
outcomes!
Also had a bit of a chat on Editorial Illustration which, is pretty much what it says
on the packet, which is good to know!
Today I created two pieces, from our excursion to Poole, they are...okay
I suppose, really felt I should have done as many people did and just stuck
to two colours to see what I could create, using just them and paper. Concentrating
on making something to look good not something to entirlyrepresent something I have
assumes something should look like (I know what I mean ) I think
that it was a big learning curve having limits to not use anything digital
but to have so few other limits was a breath of fresh air.

Just a few links to Poole Photos on Flickr
Tonight, I am going to catch up on some research, Alan Kitching - Letterpress,
have a browse on a great website Rich found www.ffffound.com , see what I can
find of exsiting "Tape Typography" on flickr for some inspiration. Also look
further into David Carson as when watching the DVD Helvetica, I found him humourous but
he has brilliant ideas such as putting an article on bryan ferry in zap dingbat so it was
not readble because, well, it was that boring!
Here is that Video
